Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of SoloScript, at soloscript.dev, which is operated by PIERINI GROUP LLC ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to them. How we handle your data is covered separately in the Privacy Policy.
The service
SoloScript is a set of unassisted coding practice exercises, a learning path, and related tools. Beginner exercises and core features are free without an account. Some features, such as Intermediate and Advanced exercises, the full Sandbox, and joining a leaderboard, require a paid Supporter subscription. The exercises are for learning and practice; we don't promise any particular result, such as passing an interview or landing a job.
Accounts
You can use most of SoloScript without an account. If you sign in (with GitHub or Google), you're responsible for activity on your account, and you must give us accurate information. You can delete your account at any time from the practice page; doing so removes your synced data immediately, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Free trial and Supporter subscriptions
New accounts may receive a free 7-day trial of Supporter features. No payment details are needed for the trial, and it ends automatically without charging you. Supporter subscriptions are billed through Stripe, monthly or yearly, at the price shown at checkout, and renew automatically each period until you cancel. Prices may change; a change applies to your next renewal after we've told you about it.
Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel at any time from your Profile page. If you cancel, you keep Supporter access until the end of the period you already paid for, and you won't be billed again. Payments are non-refundable, including for partly used periods. If you think you were charged in error, email support@soloscript.dev and we'll look into it.
Leaderboards and nicknames
Joining a leaderboard is optional. Your nickname and XP are visible to other users while you're on it. Choose a nickname that isn't offensive, doesn't impersonate someone else, and doesn't expose personal information. We may remove entries that break this rule.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service. That includes: attempting to bypass paywalls or subscription checks, scraping or bulk-copying the exercises, interfering with the site's operation or other users, probing it for vulnerabilities without our written permission, or using it for anything unlawful. If you find a security problem, please report it to support@soloscript.dev.
Our content and yours
SoloScript's exercises, explanations, design, and code are owned by us or our licensors and are provided for your personal, non-commercial learning. You may not resell or republish them. The code you write in exercises and the Sandbox belongs to you; we don't claim any rights to it.
Availability and changes
We work to keep SoloScript running and improving, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may add, change, or remove features, exercises, or plans, including free ones, at any time.
Disclaimers
To the extent the law allows, SoloScript is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data, or opportunities, arising from your use of SoloScript. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits any rights or liability that can't be limited by law, including consumer rights you have where you live.
Termination
You can stop using SoloScript at any time. We may suspend or end access for anyone who seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. If we end a paid subscription for that reason, we'll stop billing you from that point.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you and we both consent to that venue. This doesn't remove any right you have to bring a claim in your home jurisdiction where the law gives you that right.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as SoloScript changes. The date at the top shows the latest revision. For material changes, we'll say so on this page. Continuing to use SoloScript after a change means you accept the updated terms.
